Bangladesh High Court Justice Abu Taher, Saifur Rahman and Zakir Hossain commented in a bench on Scams of Evaly and Ehsan Group.
They said, the government has taken action against various fraudulent companies, but only after the people became destitute. Reports Newspapers of Bangladesh.
The court made the remarks On September 20, 2021 while hearing a writ petition seeking closure of unregistered interest business.
Petitioner’s lawyer Saidul Haque Sumon took part in the hearing on behalf of the petitioner. Deputy Attorney General Nur Us Sadiq was present at the hearing on behalf of the state.
During the hearing, the court said, “The government is taking action but when? When I (the customer) became destitute, where is my remedy? Took my money, I’m going door to door. He will go to the police station, he will go to jail, let’s go. But where is the money that was taken? The thief is being caught after we file a case. Theft is not going to be stopped. ”
At that time the court said, “Why is my house unprotected? My home means Bangladesh. The people of the country will sleep peacefully with doors and windows closed but why is my house unprotected. Why are people looting money out of the country? Whose responsibility is it to stop these? This is what we want to see. We want to test it. “
Deputy Attorney General Nur Us Sadiq, the state’s lawyer at the time, said: “The government is not taking action. The man from Ehsan Group has been arrested; the man from Evaly has also been arrested.”

In this context, the court said, “It is the responsibility of the government to establish the fundamental rights of the people of the country, their rule of law, everything. We will see if the government is working properly there. ”
